Communications to increase COVID-19 vaccine acceptance and uptake
This webinar explores how we can use communications to establish trust in the COVID-19 vaccine roll-out and build citizen vaccine confidence. As the COVAX initiative supports the delivery of vaccines around the world, governments need to ensure citizens know how to register for vaccines, understand the roll-out and are confident to get vaccinated when the time comes. In this webinar, speakers from the UK Cabinet Office Government Communications Service International, BBC Media Action and Kantar share lessons learned and tactics from COVID-19, Ebola and Polio vaccine roll-outs in the UK, Tunisia and other low- and middle-income countries.
The webinar was hosted by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO)’s COVID-19 Behaviour Change Forum, Unilever and the Hygiene Hub.

Adapting to the vaccine roll out: What does it mean for WASH staff and COVID-19 prevention programmes?
In this webinar, Sian White and Jenny Lamb from LSHTM explore the implications of the vaccine roll-out for WASH staff and COVID-19 prevention programmes. They discuss the importance of increasing staff awareness about vaccines; countering vaccine myths and promoting uptake; continuing to promote prevention behaviours; identifying opportunities for integration; and building vaccine communications into existing activities.
